Here we go again! CAAC suspends 9 flights to China

Recently, the CAAC (Civil Aviation Administration of China) announced suspension against the following NINE flights:

  • China Eastern flight MU570 from Paris to Shanghai
  • XiamenAir flight MF806 from Vancouver to Xiamen
  • Air China flight CA934 from Paris to Tianjin
  • China Southern flight CZ308 from Amsterdam to Guangzhou
  • China Southern flight CZ328 from Los Angeles to Guangzhou
  • Etihad Airways flight EY862 from Abu Dhabi to Shanghai
  • Lion Air flight JT2619 from Tangerang to Wuhan
  • SWISS flight LX188 from Zurich to Shanghai
  • United Airlines flight UA857 from San Francisco to Shanghai

Flight MU570 had 9 passengers on January 3 that tested positive for the novel coronavirus.

As a result, MU570 was suspended for 2 weeks starting January 24.

Flight MF806 had 10 passengers on January 5 that tested positive for the novel coronavirus.

As a result, the Wednesday flight of MF806 got canceled and the Saturday flight was suspended for 4 weeks starting January 24.

Flight CA934 had 11 passengers on January 6 that tested positive for the novel coronavirus.

As a result, CA934 was suspended for 4 weeks starting February 21.

Flight CZ308 had 10 passengers on January 8 that tested positive for the novel coronavirus.

As a result, CZ308 was suspended for 4 weeks starting February 7

Flight CZ328 had 10 passengers on January 9 that tested positive for the novel coronavirus.

As a result, CZ328 was suspended for 4 weeks starting January 31.

Flight EY862 had 9 passengers on January 3 that tested positive for the novel coronavirus.

As a result, EY862 was suspended for 2 weeks starting January 24.

Flight JT2619 had 5 passengers on January 3 that tested positive for the novel coronavirus.

As a result, JT2619 was suspended for 2 weeks starting January 24.

Flight LX188 had 6 passengers on January 3 that tested positive for the novel coronavirus.

As a result, LX188 was suspended for 2 weeks starting January 24.

Flight UA857 had 7 passengers on January 3 that tested positive for the novel coronavirus.

As a result, UA857 was suspended for 2 weeks starting January 24.
