“We are working with Bank of China, the Beijing Organizing Committee for the 2022 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games, and local entities to enable easy and safe payment experiences in a variety of form factors for the Games,” said Shirley Yu, group general manager for Visa Greater China, in Beijing on Friday.

Bank of China, the official banking partner of the Beijing 2022 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games, will facilitate Visa card acceptance at all Olympic and Paralympic venues during the Games, including automated teller machines and point-of-sale terminals. Both sides will also promote the Games’ themed card, which viewers can use to access a variety of Games products.

“Bank of China and Visa will work together to support digital RMB products and services tailored for spectators onsite at venues during the games, constructing the acceptance infrastructure for the Beijing 2022 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games,” said Li Xin, chief business manager of Bank of China’s 321 project office.
