Aeroflot: Mar 8, suspension of all international flights except to Belarus

Aeroflot, Russia’s largest airline, announced that it will suspend all international flights from March 8, except for flights to Minsk in Belarus.

Aeroflot is not subject to restrictive measures unless there is a risk of aircraft being detained and grounded.

In addition, foreign airlines that do not interrupt air traffic with Russia are not affected by the restrictions.

Aeroflot’s domestic flights are not be affected.

Separately, the airline announced that “Passengers who got their international flights canceled can apply for a full refund”. Foreign travelers with round-trip tickets could have the tickets reissued, it added.

For passengers who remain abroad at the time of cancellation, the airline will make every effort to organize their return to Russia.
