Macau S.A.R: Guests from 41 nations permitted to enter from Thursday

The Macau S.A.R government has reported that from this Thursday September 1, overseas guests from 41 nations will be permitted to enter Macau – including those from Australia, the United States, Japan and Korea.

The Macau Executive Order No. 166/2022 was given by the Chief Executive of Macau and cancels the entry ban for non-residents. As per this order, the Health Bureau has drawn up the most recent section guidelines, meaning non-residents of Macau holding one of the 41 nations passport will be permitted to enter the country from September 1. Notwithstanding, they will in any case be expected to go through seven days of lodging quarantine upon passage.

As per the Health Bureau, “Holders of legitimate visas from the 41 nations referenced above might enter Macau from locations other than Hong Kong, Taiwan and Mainland China.”

It added, “the inbound travelers from those 41 nations are as yet expected to provide a negative PCR test at the hour of getting onto the plane, vehicle or boat and at the hour of passage, while those entering Macau from locations other than Hong Kong, Taiwan or Mainland China are expected to hold an affirmation of lodging reservation in Macau, an endorsement of for routine PCR testing during the segregation time frame, and go through no less than 7 days hotel quarantine and 3 days of health monitoring.”

Macau was shut to outsiders on 17 March 2020, with its boundaries having stayed shut for just about 30 months since.
