Macau quarantine lifted for all visitors

Beginning on Saturday, visitors to Macau from overseas nations, Hong Kong, and Taiwan will be subject to a five-day home isolation and a three-day departure restriction.

According to information made public at noon on Friday, in accordance with the mainland’s pandemic prevention policy, restrictions on visitors from overseas nations, Hong Kong, and Taiwan have been loosened, and the five-day centralized quarantine requirement has been replaced with five days of home isolation.

When visitors from overseas, Hong Kong, and Taiwan enter Macau, the health code is changed to red, and they are tested immediately.

Beginning tomorrow, visitors to Macau will upon arrival:

  • Need a PCR Test within 48 hours of the day of arrival, and enough Rapid Antigen Tests on hand.
  • No longer need to reserve a hotel quarantine or pay for tests in advance.
  • Not depart Macau until midnight on the ninth day following their arrival (after the 3-day departure limit)
  • Have a red health code for the first three days, a yellow code for days four and five, and a green code for the remainder of the time (assuming all tests are negative).
  • Conduct Rapid Antigen Tests on days 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5, then upload them to the platform of the Macau Health Bureau.
  • Perform a PCR on day 3.
