The “Hong Kong Health Code” system, the premise of the reopening between the mainland and Hong Kong, will be launched at 9 am on December 10.
Applicants must register with personal information (name, identification number and date of issue, contact number, residential address, etc.) and download a proof of residency in Hong Kong. Applicants currently living under Housing Administration (HA) do not require proof of address.
All uploaded information will be checked through records in the HA database. After checking, a personal ID number will be assigned to the candidate to activate the account.
As it stands, the time of reopening has not been determined. The time and details are expected to be worked out once the “Hong Kong Health Code” system works properly.
