To celebrate the UAE vaccination program’s remarkable progress, Emirates operated a special flight EK2021 on April 10, carrying crew and passengers who had completed their COVID-19 vaccination.

The flight took off from Dubai International Airport at 12: 00 am local time and flew over various parts of the UAE parts before returning to Dubai at 5.30 am.

Flight EK2021 is a one-off operation. While celebrating the UAE’s current vaccination program’s success, it highlights the progress Emirates has made in vaccinating its employees, especially pilots and cabin crew.
It is worth mentioning that passengers on Flight EK2021 also experienced the advanced and convenient ground services and facilities at Dubai International Airport before boarding. These include new contactless biometrics in check-in areas and gates at Dubai’s Airport.

The UAE is a global leader in promoting vaccination programs for its citizens and residents. The UAE is already offering four COVID-19 vaccines for free nationwide.

According to statistics, the UAE has completed more than 80 million doses of the Corona vaccine, protecting more than half of the population.
To help the country’s vaccination program, the Emirates Airline Group offers free vaccinations to its employees across the UAE.

The company has vaccinated more than 35,000 Emirates employees at the company’s vaccination centers, and more than 85 percent of Emirates pilots and flight attendants have received two doses of the Covid-19 vaccine.
