The Minister of Tourism, Yoel Razbozov, met on Monday with the Chinese ambassador to Israel, Cai Run, to discuss the possible return of direct flights to China from Israel by the end of 2022.
Las direct flight from Tel Aviv to Shanghai dates from March 8, 2022. Prior to the coronavirus, Israeli and Chinese airlines provided 25 weekly flights from Ben Gurion Airport to five Chinese cities.
As part of their agreement, Hainan Airlines and Sichuan Airlines will work to re-establish direct flights from Tel Aviv to Shenzhen and Chengdu, respectively.
