In an attempt to keep returned travelers away from the heavily populated cities where the coronavirus epidemic first took place in early 2020, the 5,000-room Guangzhou International Health Station in southern China was built in just three months and is the biggest quarantine facility in China to this day.
Thousands of visitors will check-in and depart remotely and have their meals delivered to them by robots during their 14-day stay at the enormous complex.
In a matter of days, China expects to welcome the first foreign visitors to the site.
