Shanghai introduces the PCR code starting Friday

As of Friday, Shanghai residents taking COVID-19 PCR tests will be able to use the new PCR code.

It can be used for 30 days offline after it’s generated, which will save people the trouble of getting a new code for each test. You can save a screenshot of the code.

Residents in the new Pudong area will be the first to try the new service during testing on Friday, the local government said on Thursday.

How to generate the PCR Code?

Open Alipay and on the search bar type 随申办 (pinyin: Suishenban)

On the main page, locate the PCR code named “核酸码” (hesuanma), and click on it:
