PIA set to resume weekly flights to China from Pakistan

Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) is good to go to continue its weekly flights to China from Pakistan starting Saturday June 11.

The national flag transporter has concurred consent by the Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC) to resume its flights to Xi’an Xianyang International Airport, official sources informed APP here on Wednesday.

The PIA flight PK854 will leave from Islamabad for Xian on June 11 (Saturday) and arrive on same day. PIA flight PK855 will get back to Islamabad from Beijing Capital International Airport on June 12 (Sunday).

During the last month meeting between Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari and Chinese State Councilor and Foreign Minister Wang Yi held in Guangzhou, China, the two nations settled on resumption of non-stop flights worked by Pakistan International Airlines at the earliest opportunity.

The two chiefs likewise settled on the increment of non-stop trips between the two nations as per the improvement of the pestilence.

PIA suspended its flight activity between Pakistan and China after the shutdown of Xi’an airport following the Covid-19 pandemic counteraction and control estimates forced by the Chinese specialists.
