The Chinese Embassy in Tunisia officially launched China Online Visa Processing System on Mar 17, 2025.
From this date, all applicants are requested to submit applications and upload documents through the upgraded system (https://consular.mfa.gov.cn/VISA/), and could enjoy convenience of online form filling, application documents uploading.
The application process is as follows:
- Applicants create an account using their personal email address to log in to the system, complete the form, and upload the necessary documents online.
- After passing the online exam, applicants visit the embassy to submit their passport and other documents and provide biometric information such as fingerprints (unless meeting exemption criteria listed here).
- Applicants return to the embassy to pay the visa fee and collect their passport and visa on the fourth business day from the day they submitted their passport on site.
From March 17, the old Chinese visa application system will be inaccessible.
From March 17 to March 31, applicants who have already submitted their forms using the old system can either submit their applications on-site using the usual procedure or use the new online system.
Starting April 1, all applicants must submit their forms and upload the required documents using the new system.
