Here we go again! CAAC suspends 11 flights to China

On January 12 and 13, the CAAC (Civil Aviation Administration of China) announced suspension against the following ELEVEN flights:

  • China Southern flight CZ344 from Melbourne to Guangzhou
  • China Eastern flight MU220 from Frankfurt to Shanghai
  • China Southern flight CZ348 from Paris to Guangzhou
  • China Southern flight CZ312 from Toronto to Guangzhou
  • China Eastern flight MU570 from Paris to Shanghai
  • American Airlines flight AA127 from Dallas to Shanghai
  • Lufthansa flight LH728 from Frankfurt to Shanghai
  • Air Canada flight AC25 from Vancouver to Shanghai
  • Delta Airlines flight DL283 from Detroit to Shanghai
  • EgyptAir flight MS953 from Cairo to Hangzhou
  • Neos flight NO946 from Milan to Tianjin

Flight CZ344 had 6 passengers on January 5 that tested positive for the novel coronavirus.

Because the flights CZ343 and CZ344 are reward flights for CZ325 (from Guangzhou to Sydney) and CZ326 (from Sydney to Guangzhou), the reward flights got canceled and the flights CZ325/326 was suspended for 2 weeks starting January 24.

Flight MU220 had 7 passengers on January 5 that tested positive for the novel coronavirus.

As a result, MU220 was suspended for 2 weeks starting January 24.

Flight CZ348 had 11 passengers on January 7 that tested positive for the novel coronavirus.

As a result, CZ348 was suspended for 4 weeks starting February 14.

Flight CZ312 had 10 passengers on January 8 that tested positive for the novel coronavirus.

As a result, CZ312 was suspended for 4 weeks starting February 7.

Flight MU570 had 10 passengers on January 10 that tested positive for the novel coronavirus.

As a result, MU570 was suspended for 4 weeks starting February 7.

Flight AA127 had 7 passengers on January 4 that tested positive for the novel coronavirus.

As a result, AA127 was suspended for 2 weeks starting January 24.

Flight LH728 had 8 passengers on January 4 that tested positive for the novel coronavirus.

As a result, LH728 was suspended for 2 weeks starting January 24.

Flight AC25 had 5 passengers on January 5 that tested positive for the novel coronavirus.

As a result, AC25 was suspended for 2 weeks starting February 14.

Flight DL283 had 9 passengers on January 5 that tested positive for the novel coronavirus.

As a result, DL283 was suspended for 2 weeks starting January 24.

Flight MS953 had 5 passengers on January 31 that tested positive for the novel coronavirus.

As a result, MS953 was suspended for 2 weeks starting January 31.

Flight NO946 had 13 passengers on January 7 that tested positive for the novel coronavirus.

As a result, NO946 was suspended for 4 weeks starting February 7.
