The CAAC suspends 4 more flights to China

On January 24, as the CAAC (Civil Aviation Administration of China) announced suspension against the following FOUR flights:

  • China Eastern flight MU2574 from Vientiane to Kunming
  • Air China flight CA936 from Frankfurt to Shanghai
  • Oman Air flight WY851 from Muscat to Guangzhou
  • Singapore Airlines flight SQ846 from Singapore to Shenzhen

On January 14, 7 passengers on flight MU2574, and 6 passengers on flight WY851 tested positive for the novel coronavirus.

As a result:

  • MU2574 was suspended for 2 weeks starting February 7.
  • WY851 was suspended for 2 weeks starting January 31.

On January 16, 7 passengers on flight CA936, and 5 passengers on flight SQ846 tested positive for the novel coronavirus.

As a result:

  • CA936 was suspended for 2 weeks starting January 31.
  • Because SQ846 is an award flight of SQ830 (from Singapore to Shanghai), the CAAC canceled the SQ846 and suspended SQ830 for 2 weeks starting January 31
