The CAAC suspends yet another 8 flights to China

Cancelled Flights

On March 9, the CAAC (Civil Aviation Administration of China) announced suspension against the following EIGHT flights:

  • Korean Air flight KE831 from Seoul to Shenyang
  • T’way Air flight TW605 from Seoul to Jinan
  • Air China flight CA124 from Seoul to Beijing
  • Qingdao Airlines flight QW9902 from Seoul to Qingdao
  • US-Bangla Airlines flight BS325 from Dhaka to Guangzhou
  • Malaysia Airlines flight MH726 from Kuala Lumpur to Guangzhou
  • Philippine Airlines flight PR314 from Manila to Tianjin
  • LOT Polish Airlines flight LO93 from Warsaw to Tianjin

On February 25, 5 passengers on flight KE831, 5 passengers on flight TW605, and 7 passengers on flight CA124 tested positive for the novel coronavirus.

As a result:

  • KE831 was suspended for two weeks starting March 14
  • Because TW605 is an award flight of TW615 (From Seoul to Wuhan), TW605 was canceled and TW615 was suspended for two weeks starting March 14
  • Because CA140 (from Seoul to Hangzhou) is an award flight of CA124, CA140 was canceled and CA124 was suspended for two weeks starting March 14

On February 26, 5 passengers on flight QW9902 tested positive for the novel coronavirus.

As a result, the Monday flight of QW9902 was canceled and the flight was suspended for two weeks starting March 14.

On February 27, 7 passengers on flight BS325 tested positive for the novel coronavirus.

As a result, BS325 was suspended for two weeks starting March 14.

On February 28, 5 passengers on flight MH726 tested positive for the novel coronavirus.

As a result, MH726 was suspended for two weeks starting March 28.

On March 2, 10 passengers on flight PR314 tested positive for the novel coronavirus.

As a result, PR314 was suspended for four weeks starting March 21.

On March 3, 12 passengers on flight LO93 tested positive for the novel coronavirus.

As a result, LO93 was suspended for four weeks starting April 18.
