Oh Boy! The CAAC suspends 15 flights to China

On July 5, the CAAC (Civil Aviation Administration of China) announced suspension against the following FIFTEEN flights:

  • China Eastern flight MU220 from Frankfurt to Shanghai
  • China Eastern flight MU562 from Sydney to Kunming
  • China Eastern flight MU568 from Singapore to Nanchang
  • Lufthansa flight LH728 from Frankfurt to Shanghai
  • Sriwijaya Air flight SJ3184 from Jakarta to Hangzhou
  • Ethiopian Airlines flight ET606 from Addis Ababa to Guangzhou
  • Emirates flight EK362 from Dubai to Guangzhou
  • Air Canada flight AC025 from Vancouver to Shanghai
  • Condor flight DE2366 from Frankfurt to Jinan
  • Korean Air flight KE865 from Seoul to Guangzhou
  • Scoot flight TR138 from Singapore to Tianjin
  • T’Way Air flight TW615 from Seoul to Wuhan
  • Uzbekistan Airways flight HY501 from Tashkent to Xi’an
  • LOT flight LO93 from Warsaw to Tianjin
  • Scoot flight TR180 from Singapore to Nanjing

On June 18, 5 passengers on flight LH728, 9 passengers on flight SJ3184, 6 passengers on flight ET606, 6 passengers on flight EK362, and 5 passengers on flight AC25 tested positive for the novel coronavirus.

As a result:

  • LH728 (Wednesday flight) was suspended for two weeks starting July 4.
  • SJ3184 was suspended for two weeks starting July 4.
  • ET606 was suspended for two weeks starting July 4.
  • EK362 was suspended for two weeks starting August 1.
  • AC25 (Friday flight) was suspended for two weeks starting July 4.

On June 22, 5 passengers on flight MU220, 9 passengers on flight MU562, 6 passengers on flight DE2366, 10 passengers on flight KE865, 9 passengers on flight TR138, and 5 passengers on flight TW615 tested positive for the novel coronavirus.

As a result:

  • MU220 was suspended for two weeks starting July 11.
  • MU562 was suspended for four weeks starting August 8.
  • DE2366 was suspended for two weeks starting August 1.
  • KE865 was suspended for four weeks starting July 18.
  • TR138 was suspended for two weeks starting July 11.
  • TW615 was suspended for two weeks starting July 11.

On June 23, 5 passengers on flight HY501, 6 passengers on flight LO93, and 5 passengers on flight TR180 tested positive for the novel coronavirus.

As a result:

  • HY501 was suspended for two weeks starting July 11.
  • LO93 was suspended for two weeks starting July 11
  • TR180 was suspended for two weeks starting July 18.
