Oh Boy! The CAAC suspends 13 flights to China

The CAAC (Civil Aviation Administration of China) announced suspension against the following THIRTEEN flights:

  • China Eastern flight MU568 from Singapore to Nanchang
  • Air China flight CA950 from Milan to Hohhot
  • Hainan Airlines flight HU7992 from Rome to Chongqing
  • China Southern flight CZ348 from Paris to Guangzhou
  • Air China flight CA942 from Dubai to Beijing
  • Air China flight CA720 from Budapest to Tianjin
  • China Southern flight CZ308 from Amsterdam to Guangzhou
  • Juneyao Airlines flight HO1358 from Bangkok to Changsha
  • Saudi flight SV884 from Riyadh to Guangzhou
  • United Airlines flight UA857 (Wednesday) from San Francisco to Shanghai
  • All Nippon Airways fight NH929 from Tokyo to Hangzhou
  • Delta flight DL287 (Tuesday & Thursday) from Seattle to Shanghai

On July 7, 7 passengers on flight MU568, 11 passengers on flight CA950, 8 passengers on flight SV884, 5 passengers on Wednesday flight of UA857, 5 passengers on flight NH929, and 7 passengers on Tuesday flight of DL287 tested positive for the novel coronavirus.

As a result:

  • MU568 was suspended for two weeks starting July 25.
  • CA950 was suspended for four weeks starting August 1.
  • SV884 was suspended for two weeks starting August 1.
  • UA857 (Wednesday flight) was suspended for two weeks starting July 25.
  • NH929 was suspended for two weeks starting July 25.
  • DL287 (Tuesday flight) was suspended for two weeks starting July 25.

On July 8, 5 passengers on flight HU7992, 7 passengers on flight CZ348, 5 passengers on flight CA942, and 5 passengers on flight CA720 tested positive for the novel coronavirus.

As a result:

  • HU7992 was suspended for two weeks starting August 22.
  • CZ348 was suspended for two weeks starting July 25.
  • CA942 was suspended for two weeks starting August 1.
  • CA720 was suspended for two weeks starting July 25.

On July 9, 7 passengers on flight CZ308, 5 passengers on flight HO1358, and 6 passengers on Thursday flight of DL287 tested positive for the novel coronavirus.

As a result:

  • CZ308 was suspended for two weeks starting July 25.
  • HO1358 was suspended for two weeks starting July 25.
  • DL287 (Thursday flight) was suspended for two weeks starting July 25.

On June 26, 10 passengers on flight MU208 tested positive for the novel coronavirus.

As a result, MU208 was suspended for four weeks starting August 8.
