Oh No! 4 flights to China suspended by the CAAC

The CAAC (Civil Aviation Administration of China) announced suspension against the following four flights:

  • Air China flight CA878 from Copenhagen to Xi’an.
  • Air China flight CA722 from Minsk to Hohhot.
  • Air Astana flight KC285 from Almaty to Chengdu.
  • Lufthansa flight LH722 from Frankfurt to Beijing.

On September 21, 5 passengers on flight LH722 tested positive for the novel coronavirus.

As a result, and based on the new suspension rules, LH722 was suspended for one week starting October 10 (percentage of infected passengers account for 4% or more of total passengers).

On September 23, 8 passengers on flight CA878, 11 passengers on flight CA722, and 9 passengers on flight KC285 tested positive for the novel coronavirus.

As a result, and based on the new suspension rules:

  • CA878 was suspended for one week starting October 10 (percentage of infected passengers account for 4% or more of total passengers).
  • CA722 was suspended for one week starting October 10 (percentage of infected passengers account for 4% or more of total passengers).
  • KC285 (Friday flight) was suspended for two weeks starting October 10 (percentage of infected passengers account for 8% or more of total passengers).
