Oh No! 18 flights to China suspended by the CAAC

Cancelled Flights

The CAAC (Civil Aviation Administration of China) announced suspension against the following EIGHTEEN flights:

  • Air China flight CA492 from Astana to Chengdu.
  • Air China flight CA908 from Madrid to Tianjin.
  • Juneyao flight HO1628 from Singapore to Zhengzhou.
  • China Eastern flight MU570 from Paris to Shanghai.
  • Hainan Airlines flight HU728 from Madrid to Chongqing.
  • Air China flight CA846 from Athens to Chengdu.
  • Air China flight CA432 from Frankfurt to Chengdu.
  • Juneyao flight HO1606 from Singapore to Nanjing.
  • Air China flight CA910 from Moscow to Hohhot.
  • Hainan Airlines flight HU7960 from Vancouver to Shenzhen.
  • Austrian Airlines flight OS75 from Vienna to Shanghai.
  • Lufthansa flight LH780 from from Frankfurt to Nanjing.
  • Myanmar Airways International flight 8M711 from Yangon to Guangzhou.
  • Saudia flight SV884 from Riyadh to Guangzhou.
  • Lufthansa flight LH728 from Frankfurt to Shanghai.
  • Air France flight AF198 from Paris to Shanghai.
  • LOT Polish Airlines flight LO93 from Warsaw to Tianjin.
  • Scoot flight TR180 from Singapore to Nanjing.

On September 24, 9 passengers on flight OS75 tested positive for the novel coronavirus.

As a result, and based on the new suspension rules, OS75 was suspended for one week starting October 15.

On September 25, 6 passengers on flight CA492, and 7 passengers on flight CA908 tested positive for the novel coronavirus.

As a result, and based on the new suspension rules:

  • CA492 was suspended for two weeks starting October 15.
  • CA908 was suspended for one week starting October 15.

On September 26, 6 passengers on flight HO1628, and 8 passengers on flight MU570 tested positive for the novel coronavirus.

As a result, and based on the new suspension rules:

  • HO1628 was suspended for one week starting October 17.
  • MU570 was suspended for one week starting October 17.

Flight LH780 had 11 passengers on September 26, and 6 passengers on October 3 tested positive for the novel coronavirus.

As a result, and based on the new suspension rules, LH780 was suspended for three weeks starting October 17.

On September 27, 5 passengers on flight 8M711 tested positive for the novel coronavirus.

As a result, and based on the new suspension rules, 8M711 was suspended for one week starting October 17.

On September 28, 5 passengers on flight HU728 tested positive for the novel coronavirus.

As a result, and based on the new suspension rules, HU728 was suspended for one week starting October 17.

On September 29, 5 passengers on flight CA846, 19 passengers on flight SV884, and 12 passengers on flight LH728 tested positive for the novel coronavirus.

As a result, and based on the new suspension rules:

  • CA846 was suspended for one week starting October 17
  • SV884 was suspended for two weeks starting October 17
  • LH728 (Wednesday flight) was suspended for one week starting October 17

On September 30, 9 passengers on flight CA432, 11 passengers on flight HO1606, and 16 passengers on flight AF198 tested positive for the novel coronavirus.

As a result, and based on the new suspension rules:

  • CA432 was suspended for one week starting October 17
  • HO1606 was suspended for two weeks starting October 17
  • AF198 (Thursday flight) was suspended for one week starting October 17

On October 1, 12 passengers on flight CA910 tested positive for the novel coronavirus.

As a result, and based on the new suspension rules, CA910 was suspended for three weeks starting October 17.

On October 2, 8 passengers on flight HU7960, 6 passengers on flight LO93, and 6 passengers on flight TR180 tested positive for the novel coronavirus.

As a result, and based on the new suspension rules:

  • HU7960 was suspended for one week starting October 17
  • LO93 (Saturday flight) was suspended for two weeks starting October 17
  • TR180 (Sunday flight) was suspended for one week starting October 17
