Oh Boy! The CAAC suspends 10 more flights to China

Cancelled Flights

The CAAC (Civil Aviation Administration of China) announced suspension against the following TEN flights:

  • Hainan Airlines flight HU492 from Brussels to Xi’an.
  • Sichuan Airlines flight 3U3816 from Saint Petersburg to Chengdu.
  • China Southern flight CZ8372 from Moscow to Shenzhen (dual suspension).
  • Hainan Airlines flight HU7986 from Moscow to Xi’an.
  • Air China flight CA930 from Tokyo to Shanghai.
  • China Eastern flight MU5042 from Seoul to Jinan.
  • Air China flight CA910 from Moscow to Hohhot.
  • Lufthansa flight LH722 from Frankfurt to Beijing.
  • Pakistan International Airlines flight PK870 from Islamabad to Chengdu.
  • Aeroflot flight SU200 from Moscow to Beijing.

On July 31, 5 passengers on flight HU492 tested positive for the novel coronavirus.

As a result, the Saturday flight of HU492 got suspended for two weeks starting August 15.

On August 4, 12 passengers on flight 3U3816 tested positive for the novel coronavirus.

As a result, 3U3816 got suspended for four weeks starting August 29.

On August 5, 11 passengers on flight CZ8372 tested positive for the novel coronavirus.

As a result, CZ8372 got suspended for four weeks starting August 22.

On August 10, 17 passengers on flight HU7986, 7 passengers on flight LH722, and 8 passengers on flight PK870 tested positive for the novel coronavirus.

As a result, and based on the new suspension rules:

  • HU7986 was suspended for one week starting September 26 (percentage of infected passengers account for 4% or more of total passengers).
  • LH722 was suspended for one week starting August 29 (percentage of infected passengers account for 4% or more of total passengers).
  • PK870 was suspended for one week starting August 29 (percentage of infected passengers account for 4% or more of total passengers).

On August 11, 10 passengers on flight CA930, and 23 passengers on flight SU200 tested positive for the novel coronavirus.

As a result, and based on the new suspension rules:

  • CA930 was suspended for one week starting August 29 (percentage of infected passengers account for 4% or more of total passengers).
  • SU200 was suspended for two weeks starting September 5 (percentage of infected passengers account for 8% or more of total passengers).

On August 12, 8 passengers on flight MU5042, and 10 passengers on flight CZ8372 tested positive for the novel coronavirus.

As a result, and based on the new suspension rules:

  • MU5042 was suspended for one week starting August 29 (percentage of infected passengers account for 4% or more of total passengers).
  • CZ8372 was suspended for one week starting September 19 (percentage of infected passengers account for 4% or more of total passengers).

On August 13, 8 passengers on flight CA910 tested positive for the novel coronavirus.

As a result, and based on the new suspension rules, CA910 was suspended for two weeks starting September 12 (percentage of infected passengers account for 8% or more of total passengers).
