Four flights to China suspended (including two extended suspensions)

On May 7, the Civil Aviation Administration of China announced the suspension of the following four international flights:

  • US-Bangla Airlines Flight BS325 from Dhaka to Guangzhou.
  • Rwandair’s Flight WB9500 from Kigali to Guangzhou.
  • Iraqi Airways Flight IA473 from Baghdad to Guangzhou.
  • Air France’s Flight AF198 from Paris to Shanghai.

On April 25, five passengers on flight BS325 and five passengers on flight WB9500 tested positive for the novel coronavirus.

These two flights will be suspended for two weeks starting May 10. Flights entering the country before May 10 on the above routes can continue and the quota for the above flights will not be used for other routes.

On April 27, twelve passengers on flight IA473 and eight passengers on flight AF198 tested positive for the novel coronavirus.

These two flights will be suspended for two weeks starting May 24 as flight IA473 and AF198 has already been suspended for two weeks from May 10.
