On September 2, the CAAC (Civil Aviation Administration of China) announced suspension against the following two international flights to Guangzhou:
- EgyptAir flight MS953 from Cairo
- US-Bangla Airlines flight BS325 from Dhaka
On August 18, nine passengers on flight MS953 tested positive for the novel coronavirus.
As a result, the flight got an extra suspension for two weeks starting September 13.
On August 21, seven passengers on flight BS325 tested positive for the novel coronavirus.
As a result, the flight got a suspension of two weeks starting September 6.
