The CAAC suspends 2 flights to Shanghai

Cancelled Flights

On January 26, the CAAC (Civil Aviation Administration of China) announced suspension against the following TWO flights:

  • Lufthansa flight LH728 from Frankfurt to Shanghai
  • China Eastern flight MU772 from Amsterdam to Shanghai

On January 18, 6 passengers on flight LH728, and 5 passengers on flight MU772 tested positive for the novel coronavirus.

As a result:

  • LH728 was suspended for 2 weeks starting February 21.
  • MU772 was suspended for 2 weeks starting Feb 7 and the award flight MU7205 (Amsterdam to Chengdu) is being canceled
  • HO1608 was suspended for 2 weeks starting February 14.
  • MU570 was suspended for 2 weeks starting March 7.

On January 21, 10 passengers on flight SU208 tested positive for the novel coronavirus.

As a result, SU208 was suspended for 4 weeks starting March 7.
