Yikes! The CAAC suspends yet another 4 flights to China

On April 21, the CAAC (Civil Aviation Administration of China) announced suspension against the following FOUR flights:

  • flight WY851 from Muscat to Guangzhou
  • EgyptAir flight MS953 from Cairo to Hangzhou
  • Shanghai Airlines flight FM834 from Bangkok to Nanchang
  • Sichuan Airlines flight 3U8392 from Cairo to Chengdu

On April 8, 6 passengers on flight WY851 tested positive for the novel coronavirus.

As a result, WY851 was suspended for two weeks starting April 25.

On April 13, 15 passengers on flight MS953 tested positive for the novel coronavirus.

As a result, MS953 was suspended for four weeks starting May 2.

On April 9, 9 passengers on flight FM834, and 6 passengers on flight 3U8392 tested positive for the novel coronavirus.

As a result, each of these flights was suspended for two weeks starting May 2.
