Oh No! The CAAC suspends yet another 6 flights to China

Cancelled Flights

The CAAC (Civil Aviation Administration of China) announced suspension against the following SIX flights:

  • Hainan Airlines flight HU490 from Berlin to Dalian.
  • Air China flight CA738 from Warsaw to Shenyang.
  • MIAT Mongolian Airlines flight OM235 from Ulaanbaatar to Guangzhou.
  • United Airlines flight UA857 from San Francisco to Shanghai.
  • Myanmar Airways International flight 8M711 from Yangon to Guangzhou.
  • Somon Air flight SZ303 from Dushanbe to Urumqi.

On September 9, 6 passengers on flight OM235 tested positive for the novel coronavirus.

As a result, and based on the new suspension rules, OM235 (Friday flight) was suspended for one week starting September 26 (percentage of infected passengers account for 4% or more of total passengers).

On September 10, 11 passengers on flight HU490, and 15 passengers on flight UA857 tested positive for the novel coronavirus.

As a result, and based on the new suspension rules:

  • HU490 was suspended for one week starting September 26 (percentage of infected passengers account for 4% or more of total passengers).
  • UA857 (Friday flight) was suspended for one week starting September 26 (percentage of infected passengers account for 4% or more of total passengers).

On September 13, 8 passengers on flight CA738, and 6 passengers on flight 8M711 tested positive for the novel coronavirus.

As a result, and based on the new suspension rules:

  • CA738 was suspended for one week starting October 3 (percentage of infected passengers account for 4% or more of total passengers).
  • 8M711 (Friday flight) was suspended for two weeks starting October 3 (percentage of infected passengers account for 8% or more of total passengers).

On September 14, 5 passengers on flight SZ303 tested positive for the novel coronavirus.

As a result, and based on the new suspension rules, SZ303 was suspended for one week starting October 3 (percentage of infected passengers account for 4% or more of total passengers).
