Oh No! Another 5 flights to China suspended by the CAAC

The CAAC (Civil Aviation Administration of China) announced suspension against the following five flights:

  • Air China flight CA404 from Singapore to Chengdu.
  • SAS flight SK997 from Copenhagen to Shanghai
  • United Airlines flight UA857 from San Francisco to Shanghai.
  • Saudi flight SV882 from Riyadh to Guangzhou.
  • Lufthansa flight LH780 from Frankfurt to Nanjing.

On October 8, 11 passengers on flight UA857 tested positive for the novel coronavirus.

As a result, and based on the new suspension rules, UA857 (Friday flight) was suspended for one week starting October 24.

On October 10, 8 passengers on flight SV882, and 6 passengers on flight LH780 tested positive for the novel coronavirus.

As a result, and based on the new suspension rules:

  • SV884 (SV882 new number after season change) was suspended for one week starting October 31.
  • LH780 was suspended for one week starting November 7.

On October 12, 10 passengers on flight CA404, and 8 passengers on flight SK997 tested positive for the novel coronavirus.

As a result, and based on the new suspension rules:

  • CA404 was suspended for one week starting October 31.
  • SK997 was suspended for one week starting October 31.
